Update on Bristol Youth Links commissioning process

At last night's Bristol Youth Links (BYL) Board meeting, the Board was keen to ensure that the provider market understands the following points.

1) Clarification of requirements for completion of PQQ (quoted from BCC's procurement team)

Further to my last blog post (5/12/11, Bristol Youth Links 'called to scrutiny'), the date and time of the Overview and Scrutiny Management Call-In Panel has been confirmed. The public meeting will be held at 4.30pm on Wednesday 4 January 2012. Papers for the meeting will be published on Thursday 22 December 2011.

Bristol Youth Links' plans were discussed by the Bristol City Council (BCC) Cabinet meeting, 24/11/11. Following that meeting, two councillors (Peter Hammond and Mark Bradshaw) have submitted a paper requesting that the Bristol Youth Links plans be 'called in to scrutiny'*.

I heard a very interesting programme the other day (15 Sept 2011) and thought that people would want to hear it.

Entitled 'What will be the fate of the Government's Work Programme?' this Radio 4 programme explores the first 3 months of "the most ambitious programme of back to work support this country has ever seen".
